Born and raised in Windsor, Canada, border town to Detroit, USA. Dave worked as a welder on an automotive assembly line. After a stretch building minivans he headed to school to study photography, an interest held since his younger days. He quickly found himself on the road shooting assignments from skateboarding editorials to indie fashion campaigns. His work has appeared in galleries across North America and Europe and in publications including Vogue Italia, Vanity Fair, and Harper's Bazaar. Now based in Toronto, Dave is bringing his singular style and inclusive process to the IIC studio. On set Dave exudes a quiet confidence. He's learned through years of experience that the best ideas and results happen when everyone involved is calm, comfortable and totally at ease. When he's not shooting or grilling at the studio Dave can probably be found trying to squeeze in some quality time with his dog Mae and cat Sophie. His personal work can be found on www.davetodon.com
Mike graduated from Fanshawe’s Photography program (too long ago to mention) and spent his first year out of college working at a small studio doing retouching, design, and a little shooting. He went on to spend many years managing the imaging studio as the head digital artist for one of the busiest, most celebrated photographers in the advertising world before becoming partner and digital artist at Instil Image Co. With a stubborn attention to detail and an ever growing catalogue of tools, Mike’s cross-disciplined post-production skills will leave the sharpest eye guessing. From composition and assembly with an extreme level of photo-realism to creating something from absolutely nothing. Mike’s touch is always a perfect balance. A true expert of the craft. Mike’s decades of devotion to the image, his vast experience, and his discerning eye are the reasons that his name is on the door.
Pamela originally studied photography and photojournalism before landing her first gig in the advertising industry, where she has remained ever since. A proper fountain of seemingly useless information, a passionate lover of solid research, and above all an organizational wizard make her perfect for the job. Pam is a juggler, a shrink, a hostess, a conductor, a raconteur, a navigator and occasionally a nurse. Quick hands, good ears, strong stomach – the essential qualities of the best producers. It’s up to her to prevent the sky from falling, keep her clients and IIC crew happy and focused, and make sure that every ball in the air lands where it should.
